Overview - SIT30616 Certificate III Hospitality Traineeship
The course is delivered as a group in your workplace over 10 sessions, 3-4 hours in duration each, plus a full day for first aid if selected. Generally we hold 1 session each fortnight or month in your workplac, providing you time to practice the skills you have learned in between classes. We can also work and train on-shift with your staff during business hours, to compliment theory and knowledge provided. We like to start our training with an intensive skills practice. Where possible we will also liaise with your suppliers to include them in our sessions.
Electives can be decided upon with your employer, generally the topics we cover include: Responsible Serve of Alcohol (RSA), Food Handlers Certificates, First Aid, Industry Knowledge, WHS, Coffee, Bar & Cash Handling, F&B service, Sales, Customer Service and Complaint handling.
Duration depends on each students working hours, how many sessions are held per month and prior skills and knowledge. Standard duration is 8-12 months.

If you need extra support we have 4 days scheduled for extra practical skills training at our head offices. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. In addittion you can book a one-on-one apointment anytime with a trainer.
Duration & Delivery
This course is delivered over 10 face-to-face sessions dependent on the learners and employers choice of electives. If students already hold their RSA or RSF they can substitute that unit for coffee making or use it as a credit transfer. Students are required to complete 36 practical service periods in variety of different service setting in order to complete this qualification. These will be documented in a logbook and signed off by your employer. Duration is generally 7-24 months.

Fees & Funding

There will be a number of written theory assessments, projects, skills testing and observations that your assessor will use to determine your competency. You will need to complete a log bok of 36 service periods in you workplace.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
You can ask for your relevant existing skills, qualifications and experience to be assessed and taken into account when your level of competency is being assessed. There will be a cost associated, refer to statement of fees and charges.
Credit Transfer (CT)
If you have previously completed a unit the same as what is in your new course we can give you credit and you will not have to do that unit again. No cost associated, but you do need to complete a credit transfer application.
Third parties may be used to refer students to this course. Registered third parties include: Taught recruitment, Paragon Advisors and Whitaker Managment. Third parties cannot confirm enrolment or pre-training reviews or conduct any training assessment; this is completed by the RTO.
