RSA

Face-to-face RSA training is mandatory for licensees and staff selling, offering or serving liquor for general, on-premises, late night and packaged liquor licenses.

Licensees and staff subject to mandatory RSA requirements have one month from the date on which they first sell, offer for sale or serve liquor on the licensed premises to complete an RSA program.

They will then need to complete the approved RSA online refresher course within three years of completing their last RSA program. – www.vcglr.vic.gov.au

If your staff member does not have an up-to-date RSA and they have been working with you over one month, you can get fined a maximum of $8,450.

The course includes:

  • The law, fines, demerit points and star rating
  • Facts about alcohol
  • Strategies to refuse service
  • Good serving practices
  • How to promote/advertise legally
  • Unacceptable service practices

Added value for business that ‘Serve It Up’ offers:
